Backup & Recovery

Plan for recovery before your business needs it.

Best Networks helps businesses review backup requirements and plan how important information and systems could be restored. The starting point is understanding what your business needs to recover and how those systems support daily work.

A backup plan begins with business priorities.

Files, servers, applications, cloud services, and connected systems may need different forms of protection. Backup coverage should reflect the information that matters, where it resides, and the dependencies required to use it again.

Define what needs protection.

We discuss the systems in scope, backup destinations, retention needs, available capacity, access controls, and the responsibilities of each provider. The proposed solution should identify exclusions and any equipment, licensing, or configuration work needed before protection is established.

Make recovery expectations explicit.

Decide which systems should return first, how much recent work your business could tolerate losing, and what downtime would mean operationally. Recovery targets need to be agreed and tested against the selected design; they are not guaranteed by the presence of a backup product.

Review how recovery will be checked.

Backup status and successful restoration answer different questions. Discuss how backup failures are reported and whether restore testing, documentation, and periodic review belong in your agreement. Any test should have an approved scope that protects production work.

Useful answers

Before we get started.

Does a successful backup prove that we can resume operations?

It does not prove every dependency will work after an interruption. Recovery planning considers the systems and access needed to use the restored information.

Can cloud applications need separate backup?

Yes. Coverage should be reviewed against your business requirements and the services actually included.

How quickly can we recover?

Timing depends on data volume, connectivity, equipment, application dependencies, and the agreed recovery design.

A clear next step

Let’s define the right scope.

Start with a conversation about your business, your systems, and what you need to address.
